We are always looking for quality independent films to add to Reel Connect and want to add your film to our library. Submitting your film gives you opportunities for mass exposure and recognition.

Film submissions can take place in two different ways: automatic or manual.

To submit your film automatically (only for files that are 2 GB or under):

1. Make sure it meets the Submission Content Guidelines below.
2. Register an account with us by entering the required information.
3. Click on Upload a Film link on your Account Home page.
4. Enter details regarding your film including synopsis and any extra information you’d like your viewers to know.
5. Click on "Upload Immediately" radio button on the following page then click on the browse button, locate your film on your hard drive and select your file. Then click on the submit film button.
6. Wait for the film to upload. This may take a while, there will be an indicator as to how long it will take. Do not click away from the page until then.

To submit your film manually (for files over 2 GB or multiple submissions):

1. Make sure it meets the Submission Content Guidelines below.
2. Register an account with us by entering the required information.
3. Click on Upload a Film link on your Account Home page.
4. Enter details regarding your film including synopsis and any extra information you’d like your viewers to know.
5. Click on the "Arrange for a Manual Upload" radio button on the next page and then click the "Submit Film" button. At this point an e-mail with further instructions will be sent to the e-mail attached to your account.
6. Check your e-mail for an FTP username/password and instructions. Follow these instructions and you will be able to use an FTP client to upload larger or multiple files easily.

For either way of submission your film will need to be uploaded in one of the following formats:

• Quicktime(.mov)
• DV Stream(.dv)
• Windows Media Video File(.wmv)
• Active Streaming File Format(.asf)
• AVI Video File(.avi)
• MPEG-4 Movie(.mp4) or MPEG Movie(.mpeg or .mpg)

- Quicktime files may not be in the DVCPRO-HD codec or uncompressed.

To ensure that quality and appropiate content is available on Reel Connect, submitted films must meet the following requirements to be accepted.

• Sexual Content - No pornographic content, excessive innuendos, intense sensuality, prolonged or frontal nudity.
• Violence and Gore - No extreme violence or hard gore.
• Language - Films with several profanities, vulgarities or very harsh language are not permitted.
• Drug Use - The showing of the use of illegal drugs is not permitted.
• Resolution - Must be in a standard digital video format or decent quality, no web-cameras or phone video camera videos are accepted.
• Distribution Rights - You must have the rights to distribute your film, including both video and audio content.
• Narrative Content - Your video must be a film. Documentaries are welcome, but must include narrative content. Promotional videos or advertisements are not accepted

Note: Reel Connect reserves the right to not accept a film for any reason. Users who submit inappriopiate films may be banned from submitting additional films in the future. Any submitted films may be removed by Reel Connect at anytime.
